About PPC ~ Who We Are
Our Vision
The foundation of everything at Princeton Presbyterian Church (PPC) is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as it is recorded in the Bible. The Gospel tells us that God’s Son, Jesus Christ gave his life as a sacrifice for sin. He was raised from the dead and offers new life to all who will receive it. Therefore, we are not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation of everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). PPC’s vision is to walk by faith to make disciples of Jesus Christ in Princeton and the world. We want to be a church where people are transformed through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and share that faith and power within our community and throughout the world.
Core Values
PPC is a growing community of Christian people who are committed to bring the resources of the Christian faith to our community.
We characterize all we do by three principles:
Reaching Up Through Worship
Reaching Out through Outreach
Reaching In through Discipleship
We invite you to our Sunday services to see for yourself what God is doing in our midst!
Christian Education for all ages, 9:00 am
Worship 10:00 am
Child care is available throughout the morning
What to Expect
The first thing you’ll notice when you approach PPC is a lot of construction. Meadow Road, Duck Pond Park fields, and the church itself are all in a process of growth, coming together to more effectively serve our community soon. We anticipate our new sanctuary being completed in the summer of 2010.
Parking is located at the back of the building, so our back door has become our main entrance by default. When we complete renovations to the original building, the entrance will remain in the back, but won’t look like a “back door.”
The “lay of the land” is pretty straightforward. Student Ministries (and students hanging around) is the first thing you hit on Sunday mornings, on the right as you walk in, just past the church office. You will make your way through the Fellowship Hall, where greeters and other friendly faces can help direct you to child care and children’s classrooms. Our sanctuary is at the front of the building (closest to Meadow Rd.). A “cry room” is available on the right, facing the sanctuary, if you need a place to settle with not-so-quiet children.
Sunday morning worship is a central part of the week at PPC.
At 9 am we have Christian Education which is available for all ages. Adults meet in the sanctuary, students (5th-12 grade) meet in the Student Ministry room, and younger children meet in designated classrooms off of Fellowship Hall.
At 10 am is our worship service. It begins with several songs of worship, interspersed with prayers, scripture, offerings, and announcements, followed by the sermon. Children through the 3rd grade are invited to stay during the beginning worship time, and then have their own time of Children’s Church in another room during the sermon. We invite you to sign in with us during the service so we can let you know about other opportunities and events at the church.
We invite you to sign our registry books so we can let you know about other opportunities and events at the church.
We hope you enjoy your visit with us and return for more!
PPC is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Our congregation includes believers and seekers from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and traditions. For more information about the PCA visit their website at www.pcanet.org.
